positive. I held shift key down while clicking on restart. the f8 button don't work for some reason. it gave me a menu, I selected "5 start in safe mode with networking" it started in safe mode and I had no internet capabilities I'm thinking it might be a bug in WIN 10

Do you need special network drivers that aren't loaded in Windows Safe Mode?

A built-in network card that can use default Windows drivers should work, but any other way to connect might fail.

Yes I have a built in network card, It is a Realtek PCIe GBE Contoller my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4, safe mode with networking always allowed me to connect to net with other OS, just wont with win 10
