So far I am not able to achieve a specific wish in Thunderbird. I want to be able to remove e-mails on my webmail after I have them available within Thunderbird; the problem is that if I do so now, the same e-mail I delete in webmail, disappears in Thunderbird as well after starting Thunderbird the next time. To put it short, I do NOT want to synchromize the deleting of mails in both Thunderbird and Webmail (IMAP-version). Thank you very much for any suggestions.

With IMAP the emails are on the server. You are only remotely viewing them from devices like computers or phones. If you want to keep a local copy you need to move the message to a folder under Local Folders before you delete it from the server. This is how IMAP works with any email client.
