Status bar still missing

more options

Firefox 15 is still missing the status bar. This is basic, basic functionality that any non-toy web browser should have. Cludges exist (the must-have-been-named-by-a-12-year-old "status-4-evar" extension) but they only do the job poorly (the status bar appears incorrectly named in the list of toolbars, for example). The status bar should be a built-in function of Firefox.

I'm not aware of any plans to bring back a status bar. It was a victim of making the UI as minimal as possible, and an add-on, whatever its name, probably is the best solution.
