My o/s is ubuntu 11.04. I am new to ubuntu and firefox but not computer systems.

I have followed all the instructions for setting up REMEMBER PASSWORDS, and researched help, I can't get firefox to offer to save passwords. Any ideas?

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Edit > Preferences > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Edit > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
