Thunderbird has been working fine for years, and a few days ago I went to check email and the program only cycles and won't respond, I've done the regular things, like restart the modem, computer and redownload the program. I have windows 11 home, on a laptop, and thunderbird has about 100 saved messages.

How big is the Inbox file in your comcast account folder? Go to your TB profile folder as described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_finding-your-profile-without-opening-thunderbird There go to Mail > mail.comcast.net > Inbox and look up its size in MB or GB. Delete the index file Inbox.msf and restart TB.
