Do I need a membership with AOL to stay with Firefox?

I would like to get from having to pay a membership fee to AOL because I don't use their benefits but I don't want to be without internet connection. Firefox is where I go to get my AOL mail about 98 percent of the time anyway. By going to free AOL will that affect connecting with Firefox?

Firefox is a web browser. AOL is a website.

Firefox does not care how the internet is connected. Only that it is there.
