I reinstalled my linux box recently, and now that I'm trying to print a web page in Firefox, I have no printers listed in the printer dialogue. I use the CUPS system, and both printers Canon and PDF-writers are shown under other Linux apps, but not under Firefox. Nonetheless, printers are present in the about:config dialogue, I can find keys such as '''print.printer_CUPS-PDF.print_bgcolor''' but also others like '''print.tmp.printerfeatures.CANONPIP3000.paper.1.is_inch''' and '''print.tmp.printerfeatures.CUPS-PDF.can_change_num_copies''' just to mention a few. The strange thing is some settings appear under a "tmp" section. I've seeked the forums, but none of the problems there match mine, nor solutions solve my problem. What can I do to add the printers to Firefox? I assume this is not a Linux/KDE problem, as other applications correctly detect the printers.
