I have the same problem. Every time Firefox is opened, the Firefox screen is split in half horizontally, with the status bar half way up the page and the bottom of the screen rendered useless.

I have the same problem too. It was fine yesterday and today not. Using XP with SP 3. FF 3.6. I don't know if it is relevant, but for some reason, it opened a site www.aholly.com today and not my usual bookmarks

Same exact problem here, running on XP sp2

For me it was a problem with the add-ons. Go in safe mode ( run -> firefox -safe-mode), and before starting mozilla, click on disable all add-ons. That should do it.

I found that an addon called FBfan was the problem. Disabled and now I am fine.
