Following the instructions on this page:

....I can neither resize, move, nor add columns.

Per those instructions.... ¶ When I try resizing a column, the entire window moves. ¶ When I try moving a column, the entire window moves. ¶ When I try adding a column, nothing happens.

I'm using Thunderbird 91.2.0 on Windows 10. I've tried rebooting Windows and re-installing Thunderbird, but neither fixes the problem.

All of these things were working within the last few weeks. The failure might be correlated with the latest Thunderbird installation.

I can resize columns in OpenOffice Calc, so this doesn't appear to be a problem with the mouse driver.

Does it work in safe/troubleshoot mode (hold Shift when launching TB)?

Yes, the problems go away in troubleshoot mode.

Check for an incompatible add-on, or turn off hardware acceleration in normal mode (Preferences/General/Indexing), or launch in safe mode, 'Reset toolbars & controls', 'Make changes & restart'.

Thanks for this. I went through your suggestions. I've found that the problems I described only occur when View-->Toolbars-->Mail Toolbar is off. When that setting is on, the problems disappear.

I've used Thunderbird for years with Mail Toolbar off and I didn't have these problems. So I'm guessing that they might have been introduced with the latest release.

I'm ok with the work-around for fixing this (by toggling that setting) but I wonder if others can reproduce it.

I can't reproduce that in W10/91.2: all operations with columns work with the Mail Toolbar on or off. Did you 'Reset toolbars & controls'? Does it happen with all folders or just Inbox?

Yes, I ran the reset. And yes, it happens with all folders.
