Firefox has crashed, repeated attempts to upgrade have failed. Also, other applications seem to be unable to complete downloading, all being interrupted at the last second.

I had to do a Recovery, ever since, I cannot open Firefox, keep getting the message that it ahs crashed. I have attempted at least 3 times to reload Firefox and get the message that something interrupted the download at the last second of the download. Also, I attempted to download Kindle for PC with the same results. Thirdly, when I attempted to upgrade the plug-ins, I get the same interruptions. Help! I am also frustrated that I cannot get live help with this

Hi, I decided to try downloading an earlier version, which worked, and then ungraded to Firefox 10 - it worked! Thanks for your help.

Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:

  1. Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet
  2. Temporarily Disable Antivirus or Update Security Softwares

-> Update Firefox to the latest version 10

Check and tell if its working.

I attempted to download it with internet explorer and it would not work. Any other suggestions? I would be grateful.

There have been a lot of crashes, rollout of Firefox 10 upgrades being suspended. It may be interesting to have your Crash ID s. Can you post some of the recent ones in a message please. If they happen to be one of the troublesome signatures and you have now resolved the issue the info could be of use.

The article firefox crashes explains how to obtain CrashID s , it is fairly easy you start by going to about crashes using the location bar.
