Not quite sure what you mean by "green dropdown menu", but I'm assuming that you can't see the orange oblong shaped Firefox button.

That being the case, please do the following.

1. Right click a blank part of the Tab bar and then click "Menu Bar" at the top.
   
   
2. If you don't like Tabs on top, do the same again and click "Tabs on top" to remove the checkmark. Tabs will subsequently reappear below the location bar.

-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> select Menu Bar and Navigation ToolBar

still no green drop down firefox menu box, like in the welcome video. after all the steps listed.  :(

Well, I watched the video @ Get started with Firefox - An overview of the main features , but I didn't see this mysterious green dropdown menu you seem to be referring to.

i deleted firefox and reloaded it and now the stupid video is for firefox 4, not five and the box is now orange. I have wasted hours with this simple application. I have internet explorer and it works fine, no hitches. I am going for a job that uses firefox and has a test on it. so i am fucked. i dont know why i follow all the download instructions and just get a stupid google seach box. and nothing else. Sorry, I'm venting.... there is no reason for this to happen. None.
