Firefox crashes because of msvcrt

Title... This seems to be a rather widespread error though, if you look at the statistics: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/products/Firefox

The crash appears when closing Firefox. I already tried to uninstall Visual Studio but that changed nothing.

//EDIT: I just wanted to write down the numbers: msvcrt.dll@0x2070 - 11,441 crash reports on 4.0.1 msvcrt.dll@0x2070 - 7,970 crash reports on 3.6.17

i had similar trouble...resolve for me was to upgrade internet explorer to ver 8
