I have firefox 4.0.1 on vista laptop and it crashes when i try to use add-on manager

today in the morning everything was ok, this afternoon firefox started crashing when i tried to access Frontierville on Facebook... i installed fresh version of flash player but no help.contacted makers of the game about that...but in the evening when i tried to access add-on manager it also sent firefox crashing...tried reinstalling the firefox but to no avail...

i didn't install any add-ons recently ( at least that i know)

I get the add-on manager start to load up but then it crashes after a few seconds, if I try to click extentions or something else it still has the same effect of the browser crashing! Please help

i found a temporary work-a-round. it doesn't solve it but helps not to crash go to Help menu and click on Restart with add-ons disabled. then click yes when you are asked do you want to restart. and then on the next window click on start firefox in safe mode. that helped me with frontierville and also with accessing add-on manager

I was not using Windows Vista, but Windows XP. However, got the same issue. Problem was caused by the AVG Safe Search add-in. Disabling this add-in resolved the issue.

now that i've upgraded to firefox 5 this problem is solved for me
