Firefox frequently loads only parts of web pages, and sometimes I only get a blank white page on the first try. I have this happen most often at Wikipedia and Yuku forums. It usually can be solved by hitting the refresh button, but that takes a lot of extra time.

This happened

Not sure how often

== Has been that way for this and previous version

This usually happens when the internet connection is slow.

What's the status of your internet connection?

It is a dialup connection, which as we all know is a lot slower than broadband. However, this problem has only appeared since the last two updates of Firefox.

It hardly ever happened at all, before then, using the same dialup connection.

Thanks for the input,

Bob

Can you check your Windows Firewall settings? It's possible that it's routing Firefox requests differently.

I have Windows firewall turned off. I am using Zone alarm instead. Since this problem wasn't wasn't existence until the last two or three FF upgrades, my suspicion is that it has something to do with the software code changes in those latter upgrades.

Thanks much for your input.
