Surface Pro 6 on screen keyboard not working
When in tablet mode (keyboard folded back or unattached), I can not use the on screen keyboard. When I tap a field (address bar, search bar, or any field on any website that I've tested), the keyboard comes up, then immediately closes again. If I use the on screen keyboard button from the taskbar, the same thing happens: keyboard slides up, window jumps a bit, then keyboard closes again.
I have already tried adjusting all the settings under about:config with the search "osk" as suggested in other threads I've seen. Have also tried disabling all addons, no change.
Tried on current FF standard version and firefox nightly (newest update on 6/9/2020, whatever the version is). Both have the exact same issue even after adjusting the settings under about:config.
I'm not sure how long this has been going on since I never really use tablet mode (primarily use this laptop for coding and classes where I need to type, apparently haven't done any web browsing in tablet mode.)
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Alec, please ignore the spam message with a phone number -- that's not official and we don't know what they will do to your system if you engage.
Hi Alec,
Could you check and/or experiment with these settings -- I guess you'll need to attach your keyboard cover or use a bluetooth keyboard:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste osk and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Try variations on these preferences:
- ui.osk.enabled -- this obviously needs to be set to true
- ui.osk.detect_physical_keyboard -- defaults to true, which I think disables the on-screen keyboard if a keyboard is detected -- Firefox might not notice if the physical keyboard is detached/disabled after it does its initial hardware detection
- ui.osk.require_win10 -- defaults to true, which I think disables the on-screen keyboard on Windows 8.1 and earlier but in theory should not affect you since you run Windows 10
Hope it helps. Thank You.
Unfortunately I have already tried that Shashank, it was advice on many of the posts I looked at but didn't solve the problem.
