By opening Firefox my screen first goes black. It then opens with the Firefox start page. But the start page is 4 or 5 times bigger than the usual size. When I close Firefox the screen again goes black. I then got the normal size of screen again. Opening other webbrowsers give no problem. I updated the grafic drivers but this did offer any improvement.

  • Right-click a desktop shortcut, then click Properties
  • Right-click a Firefox icon pinned to the Taskbar then right-click Mozilla Firefox, then click Properties

You should clear all the boxes on the Compatibility tab for best results:

Thank you jscher 2000. The box RUN IN 640X480 SCREEN SOLUTION was ticked. This caused the problem. After unchecking the box the problem was solved.

Thank you again.

Sincerely
