Power plan changes when Forefox opens

Hello. I have my laptop set to a particular power plan - Ultra Performance which has the screen at its brightest. But when I start Firefox, the power plan changes, and the screen dims. Then when I exit Firefox, the power plan and screen brightness go back to how it was before I opened Firefox. Can you please help with this? I should let you know that I have had problems with hackers. Please met me know. Thank you. -Rob

Hey Robby and welcome to the Mozilla Support forums.

It sounds like your computer changes its power plan depending on what applications you are using, such as going to high performance mode for demanding applications.

Check your system's power settings to try and change the current options in place for Firefox.
