How can I get rid of the options tab that appears when I open firefox 42.0?

Problem started with latest upgrade 42.0. Option settings: General: When Firefox Starts: Show my homepage selected.

You can check the home page setting to see if "|about:preferences" is appended.

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
