How do I get my desktop symbols back?

I did your refresh and all of my desktop symbols disappeared. I clicked on restore desktop and it didn't happen. I am becoming very frustrated with firefox. I think I may change browsers.

Firefox has nothing to do with the desktop. Have you tried rebooting the computer?
