How to issue forget site in Firefox for Android?
On the desktop version of Firefox you have the BASIC privacy tool everyone wonder about
I have browsed various pages of a website and I want to remove all those entries from my browsing history.
Though I DON'T WANT to wipe all my browsing history entries
Why this basic NEEDED feature from such a browser that claims so much about its care about user privacy has been forgotten in the Android version? Or maybe in all the mobile versions
We have company phones, we have relatives, we have friends. So NOT necessarily my phone will be accessed by me myself and I only
This missing feature is a big hole in hole in the privacy flag that Mozilla is flaunting around the world

You are correct that feature does not exist in Firefox for Android. Though Mozilla has another browser designed to handle these sorts of situations. It is called Firefox Focus (Firefox Klar in some markets). Browsing in Focus will not affect the Firefox for Android session. After they are done their browsing can be cleared by using Focus's trash button or interacting with the notification.

Hello this is a reply "non reply"
with the anonymous tabs you achieve the same result and you DON'T need to install an additional app
though, ALSO the desktop version of Android has the anonymous tabs... BUT it has the "forget this site" feature
I make you an example
in fact it could happen AND IT happen that you open some link from a whatsapp friend that will open some explicit or cruel content and you don't want that your kids or wife may land on some of those pages
The FORGET THIS SIT feature makes DEFINITELY a HUGE sense and maybe EVEN MORE in the mobile version
since nowadays kids are using much more the daddy's or mum's smartphone instead than the desktop PC
So it is really ridiculous that Mozilla team is claiming about the super privacy of Firefox and ends up forgetting about this feature in the mobile version
Hi
From the Firefox for Android home panel, you can swipe across to the History pane and long press on an item you wish to remove from your history. You should then see the option to remove that item from your history.
I hope that this helps.
This was known and/but it won't remove all the entries for that domain. We are talking about the Desktop feature "forget this site" which mean eradicating ALL the entries of a given domain with ONE CLICK
We have to consider the features that we include in Firefox for Android very carefully so as to manage the size of the app to make sure that it can be used by many people on different devices. We do however keep such features under review and this may be included in a future update.
Hopefully since this feature (read above my explanations) makes MUCH MUCH MUCH more sense on the mobile version than in the desktops ones
Thank you for your feedback.
You can use a private tab for websites that you do not want to appear in the history.
No Bud you are far wrong
I give you a pretty example which fits and matches soo muuch
I may have browsed sooo many pages of an e-commerce site
1. I want to keep my browsing history for the rest 2. I want to remove all at once all the browsed pages of that e-commerce website and NOT one by one 3. Your suggestion is exactly the point. I have browsed one website that could hurt my privacy but I have forgotten to use private tabs,
maybe again that e-commerce to choose a present for the birthday of someone in my family,
now I must go in the garden for some family job, and to keep the secret on the present, I must wipe off the history for that e-commerce ON-LY because AGAIN I want my browsing history saved for the OTHER sites I have visited so far
Hi
That is currently not a feature of Firefox for Android, but may be included in a future release.

Also someone replied that is matter of app weight
Hey guys , sqlite or similar DB is already included in Firefox mobile
it would be matter of changing the current command query.
instead of the current remove it would make more sense "Forget" (this website)
who Is that after having visited one website , wants to remove just one page of that website from the browsing history?
If you carry yourself to browsing history to use the remove command (think about how few times you do that)
ask yourself ... why do you go there? To remove just one entry of that given URL??? or most of the times all of the entries for that given URL !?
Another important thing with "Forget About This Site" is to clear HSTS cache for some specific domain. I see no way to do this except uninstalling Fx for Android. Faced such problem with some badly developed site which has both http and https parts and HSTS set up but http parts don't work correctly when redirected to https.
