How can I use filtering to move messages from Inbox to folders AND still have access to them on a mobile e-mail app?

Hi,

One of the features I really like in certain e-mail programs is using rules/filters to move messages from my clients to folders and unburden my inbox. We're talking about an IMAP account with the newest server auth.

I'd really like to use this with Thunderbird and already set up filtering rules, but:

- if I set the rule to MOVE the message to a local folder, then it disappears from my IMAP inbox and thus I do not see it in my mobile e-mail app - I now have it set up to make a copy to local folders while the original messages remain in the inbox but it's all cluttered this way and is not a proper solution...

Thanks so much for the support. This is one of my primary workflows and it really makes (made) my life easier! Jaka

Soluzione scelta

Instead of moving to Local Folders, why not move to a subfolder of the account or its Inbox that is created on the IMAP server, so that other devices can subscribe to the folder? Or, create the subfolders through the webmail interface and then have all other devices subscribe to those folders. In TB, right-click the account in the folder pane, Subscribe.
