Just upgraded to v45.0 and can no longer send emails from any account SOLVED caused by "Check and Send" add-on
Until I upgraded to v45.0 this morning, I was sending and receiving emails from various accounts on multiple ISPs on the previous version of Thunderbird fine. Now, after upgrading, I can only receive emails (so I know my broadband line hasn't conked out) and can no longer send any emails from any of my various accounts. I can also continue to send email if I use Apple Mail or via the browser interfaces for my various accounts so I know it's directly caused by Thunderbird 45.0. Does anybody know how I can work around this? This is the sort of stuff which makes people wary about upgrading software.

Ha! I lucked out in one: I discovered the offender is H. Ogi's "Check and Send" add-on. After removing it, all my test emails started flowing again...like the spice... I've sent him/her an advisory of my results.
Huh! It appears that I'm not the only one afflicted. There are a couple of user reviews on his website which reflect this conflict of his current version 0.9.27 with Thunderbird version 45.0!

imap accounts or pop?
Problems after update (such as what you describe) are typically caused by antivirus, and extensions installed into Thunderbird. Please start Thunderbird in safe mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
Is the problem gone??
I've removed the profanity from the original question. Please read Mozilla Support rules and guidelines, thanks.

All accounts are IMAP. None are POP.

Yeah. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1118661 for example
Good work. And thanks for reporting the issue. Maybe next time you won't swear. :)
Highly unlikely. Soldiers, programmers and New Yorkers are highly predisposed to it and I am all three.
