Configuration: Galaxy Nexus; Android 4.2.2; Firefox 25.0.1 no add-ons. Downloads initiate but appear to terminate all most immediately. "downloads" folder retains an empty file (0kb) named as expected (e.g. .PDF, .part) for the initial stage. When the download link is selected there will be an instant of indication that something happens then nothing. No notable "downloading". Same link in

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:

As the post describes, the Firefox installation had no add-ons. I ran adobe's flash test to verify this. The problem occurs on all types of downloads including pdfs. I specifically tried PDF, mp3, exe. In each case a 0kb file is downloaded into my folder and the process terminated.

I don't know if it is related but editing in some boxes like this post entry box is now very difficult. the cursor focus is very difficult to reposition and sluggish and no longer detects the need for capitalization at the beginning of a sentence.

Thank you Bittu22 for your suggestions. I couldn't find any way to access previous versions of firefox for android with my phone, so I uninstalled and reinstalled 25.0.1 and now it seems to work fine.

I love firefox for my desktop. Not so sure about Firefox for Android. Example: viewing this post on my phone shows only my original post and the reply from AjayJogawath. Nothing past the original response.

BTW, after reinstalling 25.0.1 with success I looked on my desktop to see if I could find version 24. Couldn't. All roads lead to 25.0.1 for download - even from pages discussing version 24.

This is not at all what I expected based on my experience with firefox for windows. I wonder if version 24 had such issues that Mozilla wanted to remove it "from the shelves" as completely as possible.

The layout of the forums on a mobile device is confusing. The grey box is a list of all the replies and one must tap on each of them to view the other posts.

The Android Play Store only has support for one current version. Once we release a newer version of Firefox going to the Play Store to install Firefox will install the currently released version.

Wow, the app certainly is not obvious in this respect. Now that you explain and I poked and looked and swiped the bar to the side, I can see them all.

Regarding app on google play store... So it doesn't support older versions, but what keeps Mozilla from offering older app versions on the Firefox site like the desktop version?
