Session Restore didn't work after Adobe Flash update
Closed FF & just rebooted PC, now tabs are nowhere to be seen. All that opened was a tab from Adobe flash asking to install a new version. Upon reboot, a window saying Adobe flash needed to be updated, I clicked yes, now all that appears is a FF window with the Adobe flash tab. NONE of the other tabs appear that were there when I closed down FF. All "Restore Previous Sessions" selections in the History tab are greyed out. I have it configured to "Show my windows & tabs from last time" but it didn't do it this time. Typing about:sessionrestore into the URL gives me no choices. It seemed that the update of Adobe flash disregarded my settings??? I hope they're not lost.
Some additional info... I'm using FF 17.0.1. I did a search for any file named sessionstore and it found 3...
nsSessionStore.js 109K 4/1/2010 in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\components
sessionstore.bak 264K 12/10/2012 8:17 AM in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xwxm9cmg.default
sessionstore.js 23K 12/10/2012 12:07 PM in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xwxm9cmg.default (again)
I just made a copy of sessionstore.bak called Copy of sessionstore.bak. I opened this file in a text editor. It's pretty jumbled up, but I do see some signs of my lost tabs here. Please provide any guidance on how I can possibly restore them. Please help me get my tabs back.
In addition, one shouldn't have to do such things. I think the update ruined the session restore. Any plans on how this is being fixed?
Also additional info.
A tab also opened when I restarted FF called "Not Found on Accelerator" with the text inside the window "Your requested URL was not found.". There actually was no URL, it was blank, but somehow named "Not Found on Accelerator". After opening another tab & going back to "Not Found on Accelerator" tab, the URL line was then filled in with http://us.f344.mail.yahoo.com/ym/ShowFolder?rb=Inbox which is my designated FF "home page". But in the Options, it's still set to "When FireFox starts: Show my windows & tabs from last time" which is what I'd like it to do, but it doesn't happen at times.

Sorry about all the "delete" messages, but I just figured out you could edit the original message, so I just combined all my "additional info" into the original. You can't seem to delete messages, so I just wrote "delete".

The link to Mozillazine contains the same info here, but is it synonymous to the contributors who help at this site? I want to get help as quickly as possible.
