Windows just forced a Thunderbird update to version 102.2.2 (Windows 64-bit) following which several of my email accounts no longer work. The symptom is that new emails appear to download and are visible in bold in the email summary list however selecting any email, including prior emails, does not display the message content (or mark new emails as read). This symptom only occurs with some of my email accounts and others work correctly with message contents visible when selected.

One of the accounts involved is the FireFox account I am using to report this failure so I will not currently be able to see any email responses.

I restarted Thunderbird and the failing folders started working again. However I now have two further problems:

One of my accounts repeatedly tries to Login every few seconds and fails for some reason I have not yet determined. The problem is that even if I Cancel it continues to try to login and continuously displays alert popups.

Another account gives "... account is being processed. Wait until processing is complete ..." when I try to refresh. It has been 12 hours so I don't think this is a valid message!

I am very surprised at the quality of this update. I have been using Thunderbird for may years and have not had this level of problems before.
