Hi,

I have several e-mail accounts set up on my Thunderbird e-mail client. One of them connects to a Microsoft Exchange server, and for this one I bought and installed Owl.

For all accounts I have the HTML option enabled. All my accounts send e-mails in HTML format except the Exchange one. It shows as HTML in the Sent folder, but the recipient receives it in text format. I know because I am testing it with my other e-mail accounts, copying to myself.

I look forward to somebody's help.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

Jerome Smith

Hi Jerome Owl, I think, sends and receives through the webmail side of Outlook Microsoft Exchange. Are you able to log in the the OWA webmail account, and check your settings there? If the webmail is set to send outgoing email as text, I guess anything it gets from Thunderbird/Owl may be reformatted. (Not running Owl myself but I know you can set OWA to send in text or HTML). Have a look in the webmail settings to see if it is set to compose in text or HTML? Agnes

Hi Agnes, I don't have access to the OWA webmail version of my email, only from an e-mail client. Before using Thunderbird I used Outlook. I assume that OWA must be configured in HTML format because Outlook works fine in this regard. Cheers, Jerome

Hi Jerome. I am not sure at all that you can assume Outlook and Owl would behave the same with MS Exchange. If you don't have direct access maybe the provider of the MS Exchange mail service can check on this for you. Also, be aware that Owl also has a support community and they would know much more about how MS Exchange, Owl and Thunderbird interact. Agnes
