I know this has been asked and supposedly answered previously, but once again, its an issue

I appear to have lost all my nicely categorised bookmarks, toolbars and addins as well as my history as it appears that Firefox has been updated yet again. I don't understand when they know this is a common problem why they don't do something as simple as notify up they are going to do this so we can backup our profile for when it inevitably goes pear shaped.

I have spent half the day following the instructions in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1177789 I only have one profile and there is no Old Firefox on my desktop;

here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1185539

and here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks

to no avail. I still can't retrieve by bookmarks.

If firefox can't simply let us know they are going to perform and update as any normal change control process would entail (Its too much to expect they'd actually fix the issue) then i'm moving back to Opera. The headache involved in recreating years worth of bookmarks just isnt worth the grief!

There is no current fix for this as Firefox Quantum was re-coded and didn't save the previous code from the normal Firefox. Sorry for this incident.

What? That's it? Sorry. You delete years worth of bookmarks and i'm supposed to make do with a Sorry? That's worse than just apologising. It's sloppy, don't care attitude that means i won't be using Firefox again!

I am a volunteer worker here. If you would not like to use Firefox, it is your choice. I am not saying you have to use it, I am just apologizing on Firefox's behalf. Thank you. What? That's it?
