Firefox hangs every time I click on Options on the menu site.

Windows 7 x64, Dell Latitude E6410, 8 Gb RAM. Uninstalled FF, removed all old maps and files, also in registry, ran CCleaner, restarted Computer, downloaded new FF and installed it, same problem; every time I open options on the menu site FF hangs or "locks up", and must be forced to shut down.

"... every time I open options on the menu site ..."

What do you mean by "menu site"?

Maybe "site" is wrong? I mean the side/site that opens when I click the little ikon with three lines on it which says "open menu" when I have the cursor over it, on the far right side of the screen, and then when I click on the options ikon FF hangs/locks up.

Edit: Oops, perhaps I've been unclear; it's when I open options in FF that FF hangs/locks up.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.

cor-el: Thank you for your suggestions, but they don't help. FF hangs in safemode as in normalmode. The files user.js and pref-##.js dosen't exist on my computer. Any old values should not exist on it either, as I not only uninstalled FF, but also deleted all maps and files that have anything to do with Mozilla, and deleted everything Mozilla in the registry before I reinstalled FF with a new download. I have also checked my computer for viruses and malware with several programs.
