Since updating Firefox for windows 10 I cannot get onto certain websites. All I keep getting is the error message. Tried deleting Firefox from Firewall and adding back on. No deal. Never had any problems until I updated. I have triewd deleting Firefox and downloading new. Still no good. Disabled extensions, and add ons still no joy. Anyone know why this is happening. Could be something simple but I am just not finding it.

hi, in case you're an avast user, please try to disable https scanning within avast:

  1. Open the Avast dashboard on the affected system.
  2. Select Settings from the left sidebar menu.
  3. Switch to Active Protection.
  4. Click on Customize next to Web Shield.
  5. Uncheck the "Enable HTTPS Scanning" option and click ok.

Hi Philip,

many thanks for that, all back to normal. Funny how it only started doing it after the Firefox update.

So simple when you know how.

I looked at Avast, Windows Firewall but couldn't see what was causing the problem.

Once again many thanks.

Chris.
