Sounds like you have set up the 'kbasset' mail account to send using the 'candles' smtp which is not allowing the kbasset email address.

Suggest you set up 'kbasset' mail account to use it's own smtp server.

Right click on mail account name and select 'Settings' Bottom of left pane - click on 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)' see first image as guide. You should see two outgoing servers, one for candles and one for kbasset mail accounts. If you only have one outgoing server then you need to click on 'Add' and create one - using same settings as other verizon, but Username will have kbasset email address. Otherwise.... select each one in turn to locate the one with 'User Name' = kbasset email address. click on 'EDIT' button for 'Description' enter something easy to tell the difference as both are using verizon smtp settings. eg: KB

click on OK

now make sure the kbasset mail account is actually sending using that smtp server for that mail account.

In left pane select the kbasset mail account bottom Right side - outgoing server (SMTP) select the one that says 'KB' click on OK

I've added a couple of images to help as a guide.

I have a different version of this problem. For years, my settings have been unchanged. This morning, one of my email addresses using a POP server yielded the message when I attempted to send an email:

"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1 From address not allowed. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

Briefly, I could not retrieve messages from the POP server as well.

All other addresses work fine in both directions.

Two notes: 1. The + sign appeared in Account Settings where I expected an @ sign, and 2. Once I changed these back, and reentered a password, mail for the address in question was able to be retrieved from the POP server.

I'm baffled.

Thanks for your help.
