Security text not visible
Trying to place classified ad on craigslist and at the "confirm ad" page it asks you to "type each of the following words into the box" and continue. These security text are not visible....no box, text...nothing. Seems as though it happens only on the craigslist site.

No. Just double checked settings. It is enabled. I have used craigslist site before with no problems, and I haven't changed anything with the pc....other than.....comcast forcing a switch from McAfee to Norton security fairly recently. Not sure if I was running McAfee last time I successfully placed an ad though.
See:
- You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
- You can see all exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
- You can check the Tools > Page Info > Media tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block images.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
Other things that need your attention:
Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.
- Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45
Update the Flash plugin to the latest version.
Hi......updated the flash player, checked everything else with no success. One thing I did notice (when creating the ad) is that when I click "continue" on the page prior to the final confirmation page that should have the security text, my status bar at the bottom of the page says "connecting to www.google.com" and the page hangs for several seconds (10+) before finally loading. (without security text)
**(This is another problem I have had forever......cannot access google successfully.....it always says "timed out - server taking too long to respond" Don't know how or why....seems its always been that way.
