As of this morning, when I log on to Firefox, I immediately start hearing a pacman sound track. I believe it's connected to the pacman game displayed on the google home page. How can I stop this?

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

It's just the Google homepage tribute to Pacman turning 30 today. A playable game starts up automatically, use the arrow keys to move Pacman. It's fun! You can get Ms Pacman to appear in that game by clicking the "insert coin" button twice and using the WASD keys to move :)

You can also just change your homepage to something other than google until tomorrow.

Why do I have to suffer some websites dross music, I'd rather go and ride up and down in a municipal (car park) lift somewhere. I have a reasonable sound card and pretty good speakers, those bits of kit really like to play and hear my music (it's true!) ................ I'd just got to a really epic, heart-crushing part in Joe Cocker's, 'you are so wonderful', when along comes ................. diddly-diddly-dee, and so bloody loud ( would you believe that back in '78' I was a hard core Punk) ................................ and don't get me started on that Bloody Bill Gates, what a Control Freak!

Anyways, in a little while someone around here who's a quarter of my age will tell me a really simple way of turning off the 'Kack', to just leave behind the essential sounds, like voice-overs on instructional videos ....................... And I'm going to leave feeling a little foolish ............. B. xxx (nearly time for medication)
