"Email link" to Yahoo doesn't include link

When I use the "email link" function, it opens a new email in my Yahoo email but doesn't actually include the link (the email is totally blank). Is there a way to fix this or is it a Yahoo issue?

Do you have the website you're trying to email the link from so I can test it to see if gmail populates it properly? This could narrow it down if it's a firefox issue or a yahoo issue.

Thanks!

I haven't looked into this problem recently, but about a year ago I posted an add-on that works around this with a right-click menu item:

This happens with any website. I get a blank email. So it's possibly a Yahoo issue but I don't see anyone talking about it.

That add-on is somewhat helpful... but doesn't work on the web address bar.

No, it works by right-clicking the page or a link in the page, or selected text in the page. (Usually the address of the page is the same as what you see in the address bar.)

OK, that works then. Thanks!

Still think this is a Firefox bug with the "Email link..." that should be addressed (or tell us that that it's unusable with yahoo)

Hi Cindy, it used to work on the older Yahoo! design, but it stopped working last year. Firefox hasn't changed how it sends the information but Yahoo! doesn't like it any more.
