vCard generate by Thunderbird not compatible with other softwares?
System: Windows 10 Enterprise 1703 (build 15063.674) BlackBerry PRIV with Anndroid 6.0.1
Software: Thunderbird v52.4.0 (32-bit) BlackBerry Contacts v1.5.5.13532 (from Google Play, Android app) Microsoft People v10.2.1451.0 (from Microsoft Store, Windows 10 UWP app) Windows Contacts v10.0.15063.0 (bundled with Windows 10, desktop software)
Issue I generated a demo vCard and tried to import it into different contact softwares but none of them succeed. The vCard contains CJK characters, you can download it from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b4984sgx5il03mf/explorare.vcf?dl=0
- BlackBerry Contacts: "File format not support"
- Windows Contacts: Error with character encoding. Info not recognized correctly, for example there isn't a phone number in the vCard, but the Windows Contacts filled in a phone number came from nowhere.

- Microsoft People: Same as above.

I think maybe the format of vCard on Thunderbird is incompatible with others?

Just a guess, the data looks like unicode, so I am guessing that the Microsoft product do not use it internally and are still playing with the ancient code pages Microsoft had in windows 3 I do know that Microsoft Excel is still stuck in an ANSI world almost 2 decades after the windows operating system changed to unicode. and insists on importing unicode text and scrambling it in the process.

Umm... Maybe. But is it possible the UWP app and Android app doesn't support unicode like win32 app? Thanks for your reply.
