My wife and I use the same email account on the server. When I look at an email on my computer and delete it, it also gets deleted on the server. My wife is then not able to see the email I deleted. There used to be a setting in Thunderbird that said to not delete messages on the server. I can't find this setting now. Is there still a way to do this?

If the Leave on Server option is not there you are using an IMAP email account. IMAP is server based. You remotely view message with your computer or phones. When you delete a message from any device it is gone. I suggest you learn about the differences between POP and IMAP email and decide what works best for you.
