Firefox seems to think that my .rst files are text type files.

I store these files online and when I save them them to my PC they work fine. However when I try to open them from my store Firefox attempts to open them in Notepad. This didnt always happen and I've no idea how to change it back.

When I click on my files the standard 'What should Firefox do with this file' box appears but it now thinks that .rst files are text type documents. I've noticed that when I open the file it simply puts .txt after the existing extension.

How do I change this to how it was?

You need to configure the server properly if the server currently sends such .rst files as text/html.

I don't know what the correct MIME type for this file should be, but you can always use a generic type as application/octet-stream to force Firefox to save the file.
