copy other bookmarks
I am a longtime user of Firefox. When I started with it, I was under the (apparently false) belief that the main bookmarks folder was "other bookmarks". Consequently, all of my important bookmarks are contained in this folder. I just bought a new computer from Dell, and I find that I can not import the Other Bookmarks folder into the new computer. What I would like to do is delete the contents of the Bookmarks folder, then transfer the contents of the Other Bookmarks folder into this. I know I can do this one by one, but it will take a LONG time. Is there any way to do this in bulk? Thanks.

Thanks for answering. Yes, that's how I exported/imported my bookmarks folder, but it does not copy the "other bookmarks" that way.
In the Library you can select a number of bookmarks, delete them, drag them to the desired location or cut and paste. You can put them in folders. I have a number of folders on the Bookmarks Toolbar. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/bookmark-folders-organize-your-bookmarks

Hi Terry. Sorry I have taken so long, but I have been playing around with the instructions trying to do different things. Anyway, thanks for posting these, as I missed them somehow. So, long story short, with your help and some copy and paste work I now have my "Other Bookmarks" folder empty, and all of the URL's from it transferred into my "Bookmarks" folder. Thanks so much for your help, both of you.
