After years of use my thunderbird cannot connect to the server. I upgraded to 115.3.1(32)bit as usual but no help. I don't know why 32 bit instead of 64. I can still get mail from my isp and they confirmed my login settings. I cleared cache but no change.

What is the error message? What mail provider?

Have you got an antivirus program with a firewall that might be interrupting because you have a new version of the software?

There is no error message, it just sits and waits for an answer that never comes. My isp is Frontier. My only anti virus and firewall are Windows 10 and I have never had a problem from them. The problem actually started before I updated Thunderbird.

So the problem started with version 102?

Things have taken a turn for the worse. I tried once more and it appeared to work. several new e-mails came into my in box. I opened one and followed a link to u-tube okay. But when I came back all the other e-mails had disappeared and I could not get into my in box or trash. I tried to check some settings but everything I tried to change would not respond. Could this have something to do with the fact that my last update identified as 32 bit instead of 64?
