Starting a couple of months back, Firefox has decided to save images of recent websites visited, and to clutter my screen with them each time I launch the programme. I am quite capable of making my own choices for bookmarked websites, and would appreciate being allowed to do so. How do I get rid of this feature ?

Gerald.

there is a cogwheel icon on the top right of that page, where you can disable any section you don't want to have on that page... you can of course also set a different page to be opened when you launch firefox: How to set the home page

Thank you Philip. That worked, and I will now be a much less cranky wee bunny.

... until the Firefox 60 update is installed and the new Tab Page changes, again.
