Firefox does not restore saved passwords any more
After recent updates (seems 53.0 to 53.0.1, though I was not entirely sure, may be one before 53.0) Firefox stopped using the stored passwords and shows the list of stored passwords empty.
I used the profile encryption, which was asking the password to a profile at each restart but this feature have also disappeared (fine with this but may be some clue)
I tried to investigate the issue, suspecting some addon incompatibility so manually disabled all addons -- nothing returned me the stored passwords list. But if I restart the browser in a safe mode (despite addons been already disabled) the list of saved passwords have appeared again.
I have removed the master password from this list in a hope that Firefox would be able to pick this list after restart but no luck. I can not get saved passwords in normal mode even if disabled all addons manually.
Not so keen to transfer huge list of the passwords manually one by one -- errors inevitable.
How can I retrieve my list of saved passwords -- it should be there somewhere?
Thanks in advance for your help Regards, Alex

Try to rename/remove the secmode.db file in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Addition to the question above: after some searches I have found signons.sqlite and key3.db files where I can read signons.sqlite in external application and see stored logons and encrypted usernames/passwords. Just do not understand how to force Firefox to pick these files up.

Yes, deleting secmode.db and restarting Firefox have solved this problem.
