I have Firefox Add-in Super Start ( Super Start 7.3.3.1-signed) set as my home page. Used to be I would open a new tab and immediately see my homepage. Now and for some weeks when I open a new tab I get either Firefox's own choice of my most visited sites or I get a blank page. YES, "about:superstart" is set as my homepage, and I can see it if I click on the home icon, but how can I get back to the situation I had earlier when I got to it just by opening a new tab?

Hi, to use Super Start after Firefox 41, type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to extensions.superstart.set.browser.newtab.url and double click to change 'Value' from False to True, then restart Firefox.

Further info for reference: For security reasons, from Firefox 41, you need to use an add-on like New Tab Override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the New Tab page.

Once installed, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions, then look for New Tab Override and click on Options to set your preference.

Note, if you only want the New Tab to be the same as your Home page, you can use the add-on New Tab Homepage instead.

You may then need to restart Firefox for any changes to take effect.
