Is there any way to stop links from redirecting me based on my country location?
This issue has been addressed tons of times (mostly dealing with Google), but with no satisfactory results. I realize the heart of the problem may lie with my internet provider, but I can't believe there isn't some way to force Firefox to go directly to the link you click on without redirecting. I tried changing the geo.enabled about:config preference to false, but that didn't work. I also tried to reduce the redirects in one of the preferences (can't remember which now) from 20 to 1, but then I just got an error message on the browser saying firefox could not complete the action, even though the correct web address showed up in the URL bar. Any answers? And please don't say to update my plugins!!!!!

Look here for additional Google search engines like Google (No country redirect)
I am not asking about Google. I am referring to any site - especially those where you can purchase goods online. I am always redirected to my country's corresponding website (when it has one).
You can't prevent this.
Website can locate you by using a reverse DNS look up and automatically present you local pages.
Most web servers allow to go to different international localized web pages and store this choice in a cookie, so you need an allow exception for cookies in such a case.
