Hello there!

I have an ancient Mac OS with a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo. After updating Firefox, this is what appeared.

“This version of Firefox is not supported by Norton Confidential. You will not be protected while browsing the web.... Norton Confidential cannot protect you while you use this version of Firefox. Phishing Protection requires Firefox 1.5 or later.”

I am unable to delete the latest Firefox version and return to the previous version in order to maintain Norton security.

Can someone please give me detailed steps on how to go about doing this?

Eternally grateful, Maureen

Hi moriemail,

The Firefox team is aware of the issue and hopefully Norton will be updating the product soon. Please be aware that Firefox is quite secure on its own. Running the latest version of Firefox ensures that you are running the most secure version actually. I would suggest just waiting for Norton to update ;)

If you absolutely must roll back to an older version, please see Install an older version of Firefox.

Hopefully this helps!
