Hi, I understand the reasons of this change (unless I don't know how people can click unvolontary on any menu entry !!), but I use both features a lot and find it really boring that we must now open 2 menus to do it. I think nobody wants to do that, so people using these features will all find a quicker way to do it... So, could you at least add shortcuts to access these features?

I don't understand the reasons (what are they?) for this change, now that it's been rolled out to regular users, not just developers. I use both features regularly as well so having to Right Click, go down to option, pause so sub menu appears, then move the mouse carefully to the right (if you miss it, the sub menu goes away and you have to start again), to click on the one you want. How is that BETTER than the way it was, I can see the extra work as WAY WORSE. If some idiot can't use a mouse to select a menu item, they should use a different browser like Internet Explorer, or get a different computer, like a tablet, with user interface for dummies.

The reasons for this change are that you can misclick in the menu and accidentally close a lot of tabs and that leads to data loss and an unpleasant experience.
Now you need to click in the context menu as an extra step.
This is better and quicker than asking for confirmation, but like I wrote, it is an extra step.

A possible solution is to use code in userChrome.css, but it isn't possible anymore to do this properly.

Still stupid since there's an UNDO close option! AND, it'll undo ALL the tabs if you accidentally closed multiple tabs at one time. If they'd put in a box asking for confirmation without an option to NOT get it would lose me as a LONG time (netscape v1.something, maybe 1.7ish?) user and enthusiast and proselytizer for it. Opera seems to have better features overall but I've remained true to Firefox thinking they'll get it "right" eventually, not make it worse.

You can't keep making things foolproof as nature keeps making more foolish people. Undo is for those times we actually DO make a mistake.

There is a rather long list of closed tabs in "History -> Recently Closed Tabs" and a smaller list for closed windows.

Note that pinned tabs aren't included, so you can consider to pin important tabs.

You can still misclick in the sub-menu though.

In the sub menu there are only the two 'Close' items, so if you click there then you likely have the intention to close a tab. If you misclick (one above or below) in the main menu then you likely want some other action.

It seems that this should have been fixed: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1502083 Why is this sub-menu is suddenly back in 78.0b2?
