I followed your instructions above and was able to enable the three add ons mentioned (Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 2.0, MultiRow Bookmarks Toolbar Plus 1.6, and LogiTech SetPoint 6.5). Thank you.

Hi Nicholsr, do you have the 11.0.14 update from a few weeks ago? At least on Windows, the Create PDF extension supplied by that update is now signed/verified. I don't know why the version for Mac wouldn't also be signed/verified.

After contacting Adobe, working with the customer support (2+ hours), uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and reinstalling the software, closing Firefox and restarting my laptop the problem continues. The final solution was to use APPDELETE to remove Firefox from applications, empty the trash and download a clean version of Firefox 44. When in doubt trash everything and start over. Far more productive than this afternoon

Hi Nicholsr, kudos to Adobe for sticking it out with you, but did they have you remove all your settings and data? If so, sorry about that, we could have suggested individual settings files to remove to attempt to troubleshoot sticky wrong extension settings, particularly:

Quit Firefox, and then in the current profile folder rename any of these files that you find:

  • compatibility.ini to something like compatibility-old.ini
  • extensions.ini to something like extensions-old.ini
  • extensions.json to something like extensions-old.json
  • extensions.sqlite to something like extensions-old.sqlite (might not exist depending on how long you've been using this settings folder)

Firefox would regenerate those files at the next startup based on a fresh survey of your extensions.
