In order to export or import bookmarks, navigate to the bookmarks arkive, this is either under bookmarks or the Firefox button (a simple way is to go to bookmarks -> show all bookmarks).

From there, click the "import bookmarks from ..." or "Export bookmarks to HTML" links located under the drop-down button found next to "Search Bookmarks" search field.

Then follow the instructions you are provided.

I hope this helps.

There's one thing that should be pointed out. I have Firefox 25 on two laptops, one Windows 7, one Ubuntu 12.04 Linux. I exported my bookmarks from my Windows laptop and imported them to my Ubuntu laptop. The problem? It imported the bookmarks but did not import the properties settings (ie., Tags, Keyword, Description). A lot of people use these areas to enter important information relative to the bookmark.

So, for those who enter important properties settings data on their "export" computer, the current "import" method is like taking a very bad vacation. You get to your destination just fine ... but then realize you left your suitcases at home (grin). Careful.

P.S. BTW, this is a big hint fix for developers of Firefox 25.1 to consider.
