How can I block whole page ads like this?

more options

Ads and other annoyances that distract me from being able to browse the web in peace are a pet peeve of mine. Take for instance this example amazon prime promotion that loads in its own web page that cannot be blocked by normal means. I do not wish to use amazon prime and don't want to be asked every time I checkout in order to complete a purchase. To make matters worse, the options are deceptively colored much like how bloatware developers word their installation wizards. I want to be able to bypass this page entirely and get redirected to the "no thanks" option every time this page loads. Is this something that can be done so I can shop online without being nagged for unwanted services?

Hi gsrgtrdg4565653, I know where you're coming from. Firefox only acts on pop-ups and redirects to a limited extent. Actually, only the most malicious ones. Anyway, there are blocking add-ons which can help make for a more pleasant browsing experience. I found Ublock Origin to be quite helpful. Other users have boasted about Adblocker Ultimate. Take some time to try some of these add-ons. You can always remove them. And I'm sure that you will find one which suits you.

Let me reword what I am asking.

I don't want to block an element on this screen like you are suggesting, as the problem in this case is not related to a specific element. What would I like to happen is with the help of a third party extension, automatically redirect me to the continue the checkout process should this page randomly appear next time. Amazon went out of there way to force this nonsense on the customer so this problem affects a large population that would benefit from this kind of a solution.

I saw an extension which does exactly what you're describing - Something Redirect - or something I'll look again or maybe you can find it faster at Firefox Add-ons
