download progress dialog
I currently have Firefox version 33.0.2 and would like to know if there is a way to install a download progress dialog so I know what my download is doing and how long until it finishes. Currently all I see is a flash blue arrow and then I have to wait until the file appears. Thanks

Hello,
You can click on the download tool (the blue arrow) to show the progress on your downloads (also clicking "Show all downloads" will show it in the Library with the transfer rate). You can also enter about:downloads in your address bar.
Note: the latest version of Firefox is 33.1.1 - you can upgrade by going to:
- Help (or > ) > About Firefox
Or download a fresh copy at:
- (full installers) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

I am having the same problem. My arrow is not blue, it's white as if i am not downloading anything. But once the file is downloaded, the arrow flashes blue. It only shows in my taskbar that something is downloading - the green area getting bigger as the file/s download. Not a problem downloading one file or something small. But when i have multiple downloads and larger files, i cant see the status of the different files. Not sure where to look for what version of firefox i have, but as far as i know its the latest, updated last week. Thankx
