I have downloaded & installed language add-ons but when I go to the drop down to add dictionairies the new addons do not show up?

more options

I have downloaded and installed the English UK and English South Africa add-ons. The show in my add-ons manager and are enabled. However, when I type in a text box and it underlines the word in red because the default language is set to English US, I right click on the word to access the drop down menu, then hover over languages to shoe the options and neither of the new add-ons are available for me to change to. I have restarted FF as well as my machine in order to see if it would help. I have also tried looking through the tools to see if there is a way to set the language in preferences but cannot find this option. Please assist soonest. Thanks.

It sounds like you've installed language packs instead of dictionaries, because there's no South African dictionary available.

This is the English (British) add-on you need installed to have a dictionary in that language:

After you've installed it, right-click a text field and make sure the "Check Spelling" option is enabled. Then in the Language submenu you can find "English (United Kingdom)". You can use the following add-on to automatically switch the language for the spell checker.
