I want to change my newtab to a specific web site. How to do this?
I want to set my newtab so that when i press that + button a specific site that i want would open instead of the default new tab page . How do I do this?
Chosen solution
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Type about:config in Addressbar and search for browser.newtab.url and modify the value to your specific website

I want to go to URL about:newtab
but that DOES NOT work or take that URL
Thanks its working now :)
This did not work for me. AVG found a way around it. AVG Search is popping up if I open a new tab and I cannot get it to go away.
I did change browser.newtab.url to the URL I want but still AVG pops up when I open new tab
It is very annoying, I hate it if software companies think they can just do to your computer what they want.
